A path will wind from the Rotary Grand Plaza, south past the Agricultural Pavilion toward the Boise River. As from roots of the metaphoric apple tree growing from the center medallion of the Rotary Grand Plaza, displays along the History Walk will chronicle our path from the founding of our community and the settling of the west, to accomplishments of industry and entrepreneurs of the 20th century. From the establishment of the first water rights in the Boise River and the platting of Boise City by Tom Davis and his contemporaries to innovations such as the flash freezing of the french-fried potato, by J.R. Simplot, this root will trace a path through history to our modern day with displays, signs, art and imprinted pavers.
