Artist Map

JDP_MapI was very excited to be given the opportunity to design a map for Julia Davis Park.  Although the park already had maps posted throughout, the architectural accuracy of the map didn't give rise to any experience and was surprisingly difficult to navigate.  This is because when we visit a place and experience it, we tend to make the fun parts big in our memory and everything else gets smaller.  So I designed the map like a theme park map, making the fun parts larger, and the less important parts smaller.  Hopefully I've achieved a map which is actually easier to navigate and allows more of an imaginative story to take place when you view it!
