In an era when families are looking to low-cost, local resources for recreation, educators are seeking free opportunities to inspire and enlighten their students, and City leaders are hoping to attract visitors and bolster the local economy, Julia Davis Park – The Second Century Coalition is responding with functional enhancements and renovations to Julia Davis Park that will:
Diane Davis Myklegard, volunteer leader of the Julia Davis Park Coalition, was one of fifty nominees for the 2013 Idaho Business Review’s Woman of the Year celebrated at a gala event on Tuesday, February 26th. Honorees were recognized for achievements in the field of public, private and charitable business sectors. Since 2006 Diane has worked tirelessly to form a unique collaboration among city officials, service groups, industries and volunteers to raise funds for the park and promote its historical significance.
Kendra Waitley, a member of the Julia Davis Park Coalition, and owner of K1 Event Planning, was also a Woman of the Year nominee.
