October, 2012 - The Julia Davis Docent Tour was recently awarded a Boise City Department of Arts & History grant. The award identifies projects that correlate with the city’s 150th anniversary (Boise 150) in 2013.
Designed for enthusiasts of local history and those new to Boise, the Julia Davis Park Docent Tour offers visitors a tour throughout Boise’s flagship park identifying sites and markers of historic significance.
Visitors may choose among three options in touring the park: a Self-Guided Walking Tour (using the free, downloadable "Quest for the Golden Apple" smartphone application); a Bike Tour of the original apple orchards and the History Walking Tour, guided by knowledgeable docents.
On First Thursdays in 2013(May-October) discover why Julia Davis Park is the cultural and historic heart of Boise and how you can learn more about its treasure.
